FAQ’s

Delivery

1. Where do you deliver?

We are a local florist and want to offer great customer service delivering to you directly whilst trying to reduce our environmental impact. Because of this, we can only deliver to the Leamington Spa and the surrounding area. This covers addresses with CV31, CV32, CV33 and CV34 postcodes.

 2. On which days do you deliver?
We deliver on the days our shop opens. This is generally Monday to Saturday. We don’t deliver on public holidays unless the shop is open.

3. What if the recipient is out when you deliver?
If the recipient is not at home to receive their flowers on the agreed delivery date, we will try to leave the flowers with a neighbour or in a suitable place If there is no alternative, the flowers will be returned to the shop and you will be contacted. In any of these cases we will let you know that delivery has been attempted and where the flowers are with a card posted through the door.

4. Is there a delivery fee?
We charge a small fee for delivery of just £6.50 within Leamington (CV31 and CV32 Postcodes) and £7.50 to Warwick and the nearby villages (CV33 and CV34 postcodes). If any redeliveries are required, our standard delivery fees will apply. Same day deliveries are charged at £8.99.

There is no extra delivery charge for subscription flowers.

5. At what time of day do you deliver? Can I specify a time for delivery?

Our driver is normally out and about in the morning between 9am and 1pm. We can’t always specify an exact time for delivery but we try to accommodate special requests where we can.

6. Can I change the delivery day for my subscription flowers?

Yes, we can be flexible about delivery days so if our usual delivery day doesn’t suit you, if you are going to be out or you are going away you can get in touch and we can arrange an alternative delivery day and time. We need a minimum of 48 hours notice of any changes made.

Eco-responsibility

1. How will the flowers be wrapped?

We are very conscious of trying to reduce our environmental impact and we know many of our customers feel the same. If you would prefer your flowers to be wrapped without cellophane simply make this request when you order and your flowers will be presented in beautiful coloured kraft paper and natural raffia only.

As standard, we do not use cellophane to wrap subscription flowers.

2. Do you use floral foam?

The floral foam we use for arrangements is specially designed to have less negative impact on the environment than traditional floral foam. They biodegrade 51.5% within one year and up to 91% in four years in biologically active landfill sites. Currently this foam is available in most of the forms we use. Unfortunately there are still some forms we can’t get but these are on their way and as and when they become available we will be using them. You can read more about this in our blog post.

3. Where do your flowers come from?
The majority of our flowers come from Holland. This is the main central hub for flowers across the world. We are however constantly looking at new local suppliers. The majority of the year a large proportion of our foliage comes from the UK and we even have a few local Leamington growers who we buy from.

4. Delivery
In order to keep our carbon emissions low we keep our delivery area very local and if we can deliver on foot, we do.

Flower Care

1. How long will my flowers last?
All flowers are unique and their longevity varies. We have daily deliveries of fresh flowers direct from the auctions. Some of your flowers may also be delivered in bud to increase their length of flowering. We guarantee 5 days but would expect them to last at least 7 days if not more.

2. How do I care for my flowers?
Care advice is available on the back of your message card. We recommend all flowers be cut 1-2cm at a slant before adding to a clean vase of fresh water, mixed with the flower food supplied. If your stems are very woody we also suggest after cutting to also split the base of the stem by 1cm to allow the water to draw easily up the stem.

To increase longevity, we would also recommend that flowers are not placed directly over/near radiators, or in direct sunlight and that water is replaced every few days.

The life of flowers arranged in floral foam can be prolonged by watering the foam every few days as it starts to dry out.
